Tonight's workout will be a modified program focusing on a push/pull split and focusing on rep volume. 4 sets of 8-12 reps. Since I am out a pad and pen for documentation all weights will remain constant throughout the exercise(s). I will work on updating the numbers tonight after my session. I hope the tool bags don't come out to play but in this town, and at this gym, the wanna-bes far out number the gonna-bes.
I did take some time last night to finally catch the Dark Knight in action. I really enjoyed the movie and think Gary Oldman is one of my favorite actors of all time. For the attention that Heath Ledger garnered I think Oldman's performance was largely overlooked.
Finally just a note about the Olympics and how much of a fan I am of every athlete's exploits - Drugs are a part of ALL sporting culture. To see cycling and weightlifting mentioned as sports that have well ensconced doping cultures is simply to ignore the fact that with the money that is invested in athletes, sponsorship and TV Time - no sport is immune to doping. Stop vilifying athletes and look to the true perpetrators of the bigger, faster, stronger culture we covet. Corporations will destroy your children far more quickly than an Olympian doping for gold.
